Letter: War draftees – not mask-wearers – bore the true burden
Dear Editor:
I find the mask controversy somewhat interesting, including the display of emotional outburst by some folks. If wearing a mask to possibly help bring our economy back is such a burden, they should have been around in the 1960s when over 2 million young American men were drafted into the military. Talk about loss of freedom. Most of the draftees were given a minimum of training and then sent to Vietnam to kill or be killed. You really did not get a choice unless you had deferments or ...
