Part-time resident dies of COVID-19 as county seeks more tests
An 85-year-old man who was a summertime resident of Ouray County died of COVID-19-related complications this week, county health officials announced.
The man, who lived in Georgia the remainder of the year, showed symptoms of the virus when he arrived in Ouray County in early July. This led health officials to believe he contracted the virus in Georgia, said Glenn Boyd, the county’s emergency manager.
