An idea to charge an additional tax to help pay for a new wastewater treatment plant turned into a discussion during Monday night’s Ouray City Council meeting about how the city can generate more revenue to fund infrastructure improvements in general.

Councilor Peggy Lindsey originally raised the idea for the tax during the July 20 council meeting, and the topic came up for discussion near the end of Monday’s meeting.
