Dear Editor:

Mammals and birds are thought to host 1.7 million undiscovered types of viruses which may be waiting for their chance on the world stage, so our current pandemic could prove to be a practice run for the next event, practice we will either get right, improving life for all of us, or get wrong to our detriment now and in the future.

We can get it right by realizing that all of us are in this together and that so far only a small percentage of us has immunity to the virus. We can get it ...
