The Ouray City Council has granted a special noise permit to the owners of Goldbelt Bar and Grill that will allow them to have live music on select dates this summer.

Councilors unanimously approved the permit on June 15, but the decision wasn’t without some debate about whether the city should alter its code to include decibel limits, as well as concern about the content of some of the music played at Goldbelt in the past.
