June 4, 1970 – At Monday night’s meeting Ouray councilmen passed Ordinance No. 4, Series 1970 on first reading. The or dinance allowing tree planting on streets and avenues of the city of Ouray. It also provides penalties for planting of shrubs, bushes or trees on any city property induding vacant lots or along rights of way.
