The war of words between Ouray Mayor Greg Nelson and the Ouray Chamber Resort Association escalated Monday when a chamber board member called on the mayor to resign and Nelson openly questioned how the chamber spent taxpayer money.

Ryan Hein, a chamber board member and the general manager of Twin Peaks Lodge & Hot Springs, accused Nelson of acting secretively in how he and the City Council recently awarded a contract for digital marketing.
