50 YEARS AGO
May 28,1970 – The ability to squeeze significantly more snow and rain out of mountain winter storm clouds in now an accepted fact. Work on seeding cumulus clouds is progressing well. Hail-reduction efforts seem to be showing some signs of success. And there is the first tantalizing evidence that the intensity of hurricanes might some day be reduced.
