The Ouray Visitors’ Center, closed since the end of March, will reopen with the help of volunteers on Friday.

Markus Van Meter, whom the city hired earlier this month to perform digital marketing for $5,000 a month, agreed to lead a group of volunteers to staff the facility. He announced on social media on Tuesday that volunteers will operate the visitors’ center from noon to 4 p.m. Friday through Monday.
