Workers strive to stay afloat

Workers strive to stay afloat

As the stay-at-home order continues and non-essential businesses remain closed, workers and business owners in Ouray County are wondering how long their savings can keep them going.

When Gov. Jared Polis ordered all non-essential businesses to close on March 20, it became a mad scramble for Kendra Manley and her two hairstylists at Salon Monti in Ouray. The trio began calling clients to cancel five weeks worth of appointments.
