Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s new draft plan for mountain lion management replaces all 13 separate Western Slope lion management plans originally created in 2004 with two new geographic regions.

The draft plan, which is open for public comment until midnight on April 12, establishes northwest and southwest data analysis regions with an overall goal to maintain a stable mountain lion population across each area.
