I am responding to your “Firing fallout” article regarding the Ouray Schools superintendent. A similar incident occurred some years ago in Moore County, North Carolina, where I reside most of the year. Our school board voted to fire Superintendent Bob Grimesey, who was very popular with students. The students and parents were very upset and our representative in the North Carolina General Assembly even got involved. The problem for the school board was that they could not...
