Ouray County is concerned that a company hired to install fiber internet may have overstepped the limitations of the project it was hired to do.

Deeply Digital owner Doug Seacat told the county in January that his company was running extra conduit in the project bringing broadband internet infrastructure to rural areas. The project, funded by a grant awarded to the Ouray County Public Health Department, is bringing fiber internet from Montrose to Ouray.
