March 5, 1970 – The East Riverside snow slide claimed another victim this week, just one day short of the date seven years ago when a minister and his two daughters from Ridgway were killed by the same slide. Bob Miller, age 36, of Durango, father of seven, was caught in the slide on U.S. 550, five miles south of Ouray about noon Monday when East Riverside ran heavily for the second time in twelve hours.
