After a candidate for the open road and bridge superintendent job turned down the county’s offer, the Board of County Commissioners has authorized County Administrator Connie Hunt to solicit prices from recruitment firms to bring in candidates.

Hunt estimates the cost to utilize a recruitment firm will be at least $9,000, but she said spending the extra money may provide for better outreach to professionals in the field, helping the county select a “quality candidate.”
