On a cold, windy day, Feb. 8, my friend and I went birding. We hesitated, thinking it would not be a good birding day. How wrong we were!
The sun slowly appeared through the clouds, the wind let up, and then we saw our first raptor: two bald eagles sitting on branches of bare trees. The crows caught our attention as they were flying back and forth with their loud calls.
After watching and taking photos we moved on...
