Colorado’s economy continues to grow every year, yet the state is near the bottom of the list of states in funding K-12 education and teacher pay, according to the Colorado Education Association. Teacher retention in rural Colorado is very difficult due to the high cost of living.

The Denver Business Journal recently ranked the Ridgway School District 13th out of the top 25 best school districts in the state.
