A local nonprofit is embarking on a program to better support LGBTQ youth, focusing on what makes kids feel safe and accepted in the community.

The Colorado Health Foundation recently awarded Voyager Youth Program a $60,000 grant to go toward supporting local LGBTQ youth. Voyager has been providing enrichment for Ouray County students since 1997 and with the grant is able to expand the programs it provides.
