February 12, 1970 – Editorial: Is there any real good reason the gigantic trucks should continue to come ripping through town at speeds greatly in excess of the posted limit? Coming from the south they’ve had to gear down and reduce speed to make curves into town, but by the time they near the Elks they are already highballing it again.
