GUNNISON

The benefit of the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) to the surrounding area has soared in the last seven years, and that has county leaders all smiles. According to the latest figures offered by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), the airport has grown almost 24 percent in business revenues since 2012. The 2020 Airport Economic Impact Report says GUC is responsible for 1,054 jobs and nearly $45 million in payroll, and has added 116 jobs in the same time period....
