Sheep grazing plan open for final review
The Bureau of Land Management is in the final stages of an Environmental Impact Statement to assess domestic sheep grazing on nine grazing allotments in Ouray, Hinsdale and Gunnison counties.
The allotments are on a total of 65,710 acres and the allotments in Ouray County are located in American
Flats, on about 1,643 acres east of Ouray. The BLM will decide whether domestic sheep or goat grazing will continue to be allowed on all or part of these lands, and if that grazing continues what condition...
