City to begin enforcing vacation rental regs
Time is running out for owners of short-term rentals to obtain a license from the city of Ouray.
City officials will begin conducting code enforcement on properties leased for fewer than 30 days starting Feb. 1.
Community Development Director Chris Hawkins told City Council members last week the city had received roughly 80 applications so far. The city estimated there were 125 property owners running vacation rentals at the time it developed regulations last year.
