Man arrested in liquor store burglary
A Ouray man with a lengthy arrest history was arrested on Jan. 12 after he allegedly broke into Ouray Liquors and stole a bottle of vodka.
Lawrence David Hammett, 37, could face a felony charge of second-degree burglary and lesser charges of criminal mischief and theft of less than $50 in connection with the break-in at the liquor store at 609 Main St. He’s being held at the Montrose County Jail on a bond totaling $5,100.
