A story in the Dec. 24 edition of the

Plaindealer about the response to the Cow Creek Fire should have indicated some local officials thought they heard that federal officials were directing them to report to Commissioner Ben Tisdel regarding the fire. The Plaindealer mistakenly reported that federal officials did in fact provide this direction. Tisdel says federal officials never directed county employees or local fire officials to report to him.
