December 18, 1969 – The Camp Bird warehouse and shop and their contents were totally destroyed in a fire of undetermined origin early Friday morning. No complete inventory of loss is possible at this time, but it is estimated at $25,000. The fire was discovered at about 5:30 a.m. by the watchman, Fred Richardson.
