Continuing a theme of change, the Ouray City Council will have a new mayor pro tem in 2020.

In a split vote, city councilors agreed Monday night to appoint John Wood to the position, removing Glenn Boyd from a post he’s held since 2014.

The appointment of a new mayor pro tem comes a month after voters swept a new slate of councilors into office, choosing Nelson over Boyd for mayor and challengers John Wood and Peggy Lindsey over councilors Dawn Glanc and Bette Maurer for two spots on the counc...
