Two years after voters approved a 1 percent sales tax to help pay for capital expenses, the city of Ouray is ready to put some of that money to work.

The City Council on Monday approved a $10.1 million budget for 2020, a plan that calls for spending 34 percent more than the $7.6 million the city expects to spend this year.
