Locals laud CORE vote
Locals who have worked for the better part of a decade applauded the latest hurdle cleared for attaining wilderness protection for Mt. Sneffels and other public lands in the area, when legislation passed the U.S. House of Representatives last week.
The Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy (CORE) Act is now on its way to the U.S. Senate. The legislation would safeguard more than 400,000 acres and designate 73,000 new acres as wilderness throughout the state.
