CITY OF OURAY

A change in the fee structure for professional climbing guides is intended to generate more revenue to manage the Ouray Ice Park.

The Ouray City Council unanimously agreed Monday to a proposal from Ouray Ice Park Inc. to alter the fees for professional guide services from a flat $150 permit fee plus 3 percent of gross revenue for operations conducted inside the ice park to a fee of $15 per person for ice park use Monday through Friday and $12 per person for use Saturday and Sunday.
