Rep. Barbara McLachlan fielded some tough questions from students at Ridgway Secondary School on a visit last week.

McLachlan, representative for Colorado’s District 59, made a stop at the school to talk to the students about her job and answer questions from students and staff.

McLachlan, a Democrat from Durango who taught high school for 20 years, discussed her passion for education. She currently chairs the House Education Committee.
