Police chief candidates narrowed to 4

 

The search for Ouray’s next police chief has narrowed to four candidates, and the community will have the chance to meet them later this month.

Ouray Police Officer Bernie Chism; Douglas Ford, the chief of police in Clovis, New Mexico; Dallas Police Lt. James Lewis; and Jeffrey Wood, a commander with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office in La Plata, Maryland, will be in Ouray Sept. 25.
