Lunchtime recess on Friday was a bit more exciting at Ouray School than it has been lately.

The students had the chance to try out their new playground, a project the community helped build.

They jumped on stumps, they piled into a boat and rocked it back and forth, they dodged the ball in the Ga-Ga ball pit, they swung and they played.
