Former undersheriff scheduled for plea

 

Former Ouray County Undersheriff Richard Herman has been ordered not to interact with children age 18 and younger, including a teenage boy who told law enforcement he was solicited for sex by Herman when he was walking home from school in Montrose.

Herman appeared in Montrose County District Court on Monday, and was scheduled to be advised of the charges he faces. A grand jury indicted him in June and he faces charges of solicitation of child prostitution and child abuse, stemming from an incid...
