Ouray County will stick with the original route it planned for building fiber internet, despite requests from Delta-Montrose Electric Association to construct a route that would benefit the internet provider and potentially save money.

The construction of the broadband project, funded with a grant Ouray County obtained to run fiber from Montrose to the Ouray County Health Department building on Second Street in Ouray, has already been contracted to Deeply Digital.
