Art chosen for Space to Create
A Salida artist will develop the artwork for the Space to Create project in Ridgway, incorporating the past, present and future of the town.
“Ridgway Ride with Space to Create” is the working title of Jimmy Descant’s project, which will be a three-panel piece of artwork measuring about 8 feet tall.
The intial sketches show Descant including historical elements of Ridgway’s past, including the railroad, and the geography of the mountains, as well as some potentially futuristic elements.
