Ouray County’s rural population will be harder to count in next year’s Census than areas with home mail delivery, U.S. Census Bureau representatives said last week in a planning meeting.

During the kickoff meeting of the Complete Count Committee in Montrose, Census officials talked about ways to motivate the public to participate in the population count in 2020, which will attempt to account for every person who lives in the area as mandated by the U.S. Constitution.
