When I lived in Indiana, one of my favorite birds was the Eastern Tufted Titmouse that came to my feeders and hung around with the Chickadees. They loved the shelled peanuts that I would put out. Some mornings I would awaken to hear their delightful song of “Peter, Peter, Peter.”
When I moved to Colorado, I became acquainted with the Western Titmouse which at the time was called the “Plain Titmouse....
