A storage unit business that expanded without approval shouldn’t receive a special use permit, according to a joint planning organization from Ridgway and Ouray.

The Ridgway Area Joint Planning Board, made up of the Ouray County Planning Commission and representatives of the Town of Ridgway, voted July 16 to recommend the Board of County Commissioners not approve a special use permit amendment applied for by Emery Lynn Olin, who owns Red Cliff Storage.
