The Colorado State Patrol is looking for witnesses to an accident near mile-marker 88 on U.S. Highway 550 on July 14. The accident involved a 2005 Dodge SUV from Grand Junction, according to Trooper Josh Lewis. The vehicle left the roadway and landed on its roof in the Uncompahgre River.

The accident was reported just before7 p.m. and two women and one man were reportedly involved in the accident but left the scene.
