There’s a new company managing the waste transfer station for Ouray County, and those who use the station may notice slightly lower fees and expanded services.

At the request of the former contractor, Waste Management, Ouray County opened up bids for operating the transfer station in June. Bruin Waste Services bid on the contract and won it for a few reasons, according to County Administrator Connie Hunt.

Bruin and Waste Management were the only two companies to submit bids.
