The Ouray County Planning Commission is working to solidify a schedule of documentary showings and an educational presentation to market the need for wildfire mitigation regulations updates to the Land Use Code they have been working on for more than a year.

At a work session last month, the commission decided to purchase – with funds granted to them by the Board of County Commissioners – the rights to show the documentary, “The Era of Megafires.”
