Ouray County has its very own medieval labyrinth. As of Sunday, May 20 at 4 p.m., the labyrinth gets its official dedication and will be open to all. Any who wish to come are invited to attend the dedication at 2490 County Road 17. On Friday, May 11, at 2 p.m. the culmination of years of work finally arrived. The City of Ouray and the United States Forest Service signed papers that finalized Ouray’s purchase of the patch of land in the Uncompahgre National Forest that makes up over 20 acres of the Ice Park.

Over the years she made quite the impact on our little community, through friendships made and in serving as a role model for others. Following are thoughts from Victoria Caldwell and Nancy Rule, who considered Henn both a friend and mentor.
“She had many, many friends and everyone loved her,” said Nancy Rule.  “When I was president of the Woman’s Club of Ouray (WCO) she was very supportive. She was my mentor.”

"I too saw a UFO...,” she wrote in an email. “What happened is, I have been watching the skies a lot this year due to the planets moving around so much. One night, I was looking out of the window and just south of Whitehouse was a huge bright round light. I though it was a planet, even though it seemed to be much bigger and brighter than the planets I have become used to seeing, and it seemed to be lower in the sky.”
