The Board of Ouray County Commissioners discussed possible sanitation and screening amendments to the county's long-term camping permit regulations after hearing complaints from several members of the Dallas Meadows Homeowners Association on Tuesday.

Complaints focused on the county's approval of a long-term camping permit for Garth Valentine.
Valentine has sought to prove he is not included in the DMEA, while the HOA contends that he is subject to their regulations.
In a letter to County Planner Mark Castrodale, Dallas Meadows resident Jeanette Ritchey wrote, "If you and your department understand that Lot 21 is part of Dallas Meadows Subdivision, why did you grant him a permit when you know all the trouble he has caused?"
